    Thanks, from a Newbie

I decided to join today, but first I wanted to say thanks--
--Because I have used your site for input while shopping for Kilts, and kilt-related items for at least a year.
    So anyways, thanks very much.

That's what this great board is for.

Oceanside you say?? Like in Oceanside, Cali?? My little brother lives there and so do a bunch of other kilted gents. But if you've been lurking you probably figured that out.

Hello and a warm Celtic from Boston, Massachusetts

Do you teach whilst kilted? With 6 kilts, that is enough for a different one for each day of the week and a spare. My wee 'uns and their parents have never seen me in trousers.

    Cheers

    Welcome.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

Thanks for the warm welcome. I'll answer a couple Q's:

My name is Dana Stewart, if your Bro in O'side went to the Carlsbad Hennesy's or Mas fina cantina, in the last 4-5 years he's probably seen one of my bands Play (hope we did okay that night!)
As to wearing it teaching, I have only done it once- to be ready to attend a wake for a Ross, right after class--I LOVED it.

By the way: Congratulations on having the stones to ensconce yourself into doing it everyday!!!
I am truly ashamed I cannot say the same--I know what I feel like; "a fair weather kilter"

But having 6 kilts is not the boast that it seems either- I bought 5 of them second hand. and they were mostly for the use of other band members, mere approximations of what a kilt should be! More of a rock and roll thing.
These days my brand-new PC jacket, my 'diced' second-hand Scots military hose, ghillie-brogues, clan tartan flashes, Tux shirt etc, are some of my proudest possessions.
I am glad to be amongst fellow enthusiasts!
