A Welshman in a Southern life
Hey there from Charleston, SC! I am fairly new to the kilted world but love it! I made a kilt a few years ago blindly without a clue and well, it was a lovely skirt. I recently took another stab at it and love the results. Since it was basically my first, I went cheap on the material. I found some fairly heavy flannel with a basic tartan on it and went to the stripe with it. I discovered quickly that I needed to stitch down the pleats and extend the fell for my big butt, but overall, it came out great.
I have been reading this site for inspiration and look forward to jumping into my next. This time, canvas or denim with tartan inset the box pleats.
