Gift For A Clan Chief
I am looking for a contemporary Sgian Dubh that can be engraved and worthy to be presented as a gift to a Clan Chief. Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

Comrie Crafts
Santa Kona,
I have a nice one from James Young of Comrie Crafts
http://scottishsgiandubhs.com/
Great selection of stock items as well as custom work.
I bet he can provide what ever it is you are looking for, and at a reasonable price.
Shipping time from order to delivery in the US was a little under 2 weeks for mine
Good luck

What's the budget for this fine gift ? Really cool contemporary sgian dubh can be had inn the US and Scotland, and Canada, and other places as well. Different makers using different materials, styles, and prices.
I second the Rab Gordon suggestion at rainnea.com
I also recommend Jake Cleland, on the isle of Skye.
And I have been known to make a sgian or two myself. ;)

Yes you do, he is Mackintosh of Mackintosh.

I think Mark was referring to a sgian dubh, Kyle. A correction though: his chief is James McBain of McBain, not Mackintosh of Mackintosh, and he has met him, I believe.
