Looking for jacket
hey all I am looking for a nice used jacket, argyle or prince charlie?? I'm new to the whole kilt wearing thing and don't have the money to buy a brand new one. I'm not exactly sure on how to measure for a jacket but I am about 5'4", 130 lbs, average build just your all around kinda standard guy. let me know what you have (pics would be greatly appreciated) and what your looking to get for it. and we can see if a deal can be made.

I, too, am looking. Let me know if you have any offers for size 44 regular tweeds.

No jacket but this is a useful link for measuring for a jacket:

It may help you find something on ebay...
Good luck on your search

I got my black argyll half price. It was ex-hire and hardly used, looked brand new (from Edinburgh). Check out your local hire shops.

We have a couple of really nice second hand Prince Charlie jackets for sale, I think they are about a 40 or 42 if I recall. We also have a could of superb Harris Tweed argyle jackets in smaller sizes, 36 or 38. If you can figure out what size you need, you can email me at the Scottish tartans Museum at tartans@scottishtartans.org or just phone us at 1-866-898-1192.

I've got a Keith Scott of Dundee Prince Charlie that is a smaller fitting 40. I wear a 40R and it fits me snugly but its a bit too short. I can send pics if you are interested.
