Old kit for sale? Sporrans?
Anybody have any old kit (sporrans, argylls, etc.) they want to get rid of. I am especially interested in sporrans at the moment and thought I'd go through the rabble before taking a chance on Ebay and the like as during my most recent Ebay purchase the guy ripped me off.
Lemme know,
Hugh

Biblemonkey,
What is your waist size? No sporran for sale, but perhaps some kilts- have you seen the threads- From the closet of Retro Red and More from te Closet of Retro Red? I believe there are still some kilts up for sale.

I have quite a few nice vintage sporrans that I am trying to find a home for at the moment. They're in quite a wide range of styles.
I also have about ten kilts that need homes. Most are in the 36-40 waist range, ~24 inch long.
Please feel to PM me if interested.

Regards,
Saw Retro's sales items. All way too big in the waist for me. I typically take a 32"-34" measured waist and a 25"-25-1/2" length from top to knees. Liked his stuff but could never wear it. What was the deal there, anyway? I'm new here and couldn't figure out why he'd sell all of that. Was it money problems or, worse, did the fellow pass away? Hope that's not it.

Retro Red (Craig) passed away a year ago in August from a quickly spreading and not quickly diagnosed pancreatic cancer. I am glad to say he was a friend, he was a consummate gentleman and punster. His family ahs put some of his "Scottish" wardrobe- as they like to call it- up for sale. I suspect that thingls llike belts, sporran and pins will someday become available. And when that happens, I'll post about it for the rabble at large.

Todd M.

Regards,
Sounds like he was a heck of a guy and one serious kilt collector. Sorry to hear he's gone even though I didn't know him.
