sgian dubh--good quality for special friend

    All:
I'm looking for a sgian dubh for a very special friend. One of a kind, customs are probably too expensive, but I'd like something nice, with an interesting blade and possibility of envgraving on the hilt top. or jeweled hilt top. Used and well maintained fine. Im looking for more traditional than modern. If anyone has ideas of good, reputable dealers, I'd appreciate that too. I've been googling away, but I am definitely not a knife specialist!

You can try James Young at Comrie Crafts here:

Nice knives at, what I think are, reasonable prices.

    Best of luck!

    +1

I have always admired the work done at Comrie Crafts, hopefully Santa is bringing me an Arctic Birch handled Sgian. Hopefully the plethora of hints that I have given the other half got through.
    Kind regards- Simon

This post inspired me to put in my order for this model, having long dithered about it. The parcel arrived today and I could not be happier. What I received looks even better than what is pictured online. So yes, I highly recommend Comrie Crafts.

I have a sd from Jim Comrie as well. It's lovely. I second the motion from the posts above.
