    Check with Stillwater Kilts.
Scotland is only 1/5 the size of Montana, but Scotland has over 3,000 castles and Montana has none.

I know SWK have very nice ones in Acrylic but I'd really want a traditional wool kilt. I'll just be keeping my eyes open and see if anything comes up

Captmac has one of Stillwater's PV kilts. It has become one of his favorites. For the price, you can't beat them.

Vmac3250, would that be a Stillwater 'Standard' (8 yard)?

Im including a couple of photos of me in my Stillwater Weathered MacKenzie. This is their standard kilt that is a PV kilt. It is fairly well made with nice deep pleats that are sewn to the hips. It as three straps and is selvedge with double fringe. You also get free flashes. All in all it is a nice knock around kilt. I like the weathered more earthtone colours which allows me to wear my boots or running shoes, t-shirts or nice shirt. I like to wear my brown belt and brown sporran with it also. I know you are looking for wool, Stillwater unfortunately doesnt have the Weathered MacKenzie in wool but the PV kilt is a nice kilt for the price. It is made in Pakistan and there are some thinks noticeable to a trained eye, like a brown thread running up the apron where the material is sewn down. Im sure this is a machine sewn kilt but for 80 dollars I dont expect hand sewn. As I said it is comfortable, fits well and looks good for a casual pub or games kilt.

Just for the record, y'all, the Stillwater standard, economy, and thrifty models are acrylic, not poly-viscose.

I like 'em, I'm just being pedantic (as usual). To Jerry's lasting credit, they tell you what the fabric is, right on the Web site.
