Wanted: Off-White hose.

Some of you might remember that I recently did something I swore I'd never do...bought a pair of white hose. I wore them for a parade where it was the specified uniform.

I've got two issues going on:
1. I'm extremely disappointed in the hose I bought...quality, etc. They are acrylic and very thick, yet have ribs in them that are almost see-through. The cuffs are abnormally thick too. In short, I hate them.

2. Even though I asked about white vs. off-white and was told either for the last event, the specified hose for my event in three weeks is "off-white" hose.

Anybody have a pair OFF-WHITE HOSE that's decent quality that they just don't wear/don't want? I'm willing to pay shipping (and probably a couple of bucks, depending on offers) if you're willing to part with them.

I have several pairs of off-white (about the color of an "Aran Sweater") hand-knit hose in a variety of sizes. PM me with your measurements and address and I'll drop a pair in the mail. If you have to wear "white hose" you might as well wear a well-made pair...

Thanks to David, I now have a pair of machine knit off-white hose and a pair of hand knit cream-ish cable hose. I'm deeply indebted to him. Also, hats off to Greg Livingston who also offered, but was waved off before sending since I had already filled my need. Yet more proof of the great bunch of guys and gals here at XMTS.
