    A $20 Utilikilt?

Serendipity struck and I am now the happy owner of an army green Utilikilt original. I wasn't planning on buying one partly because my lass is more into traditional tartan kilts and partly because I wasn't certain that it would suit my style. But then I saw one on the Kijiji online classifieds for only $20... including a wide leather belt! I couldn't resist.

The only problem was, the kilt was in another city and not at all close to me. Apparently the universe really wanted me to have it, though, because a friend of mine just happened to be visiting that city over Easter. I was taking care of her cats and so she was more than happen to do me a favour by picking up the Utilikilt. I went to collect it tonight and she said "don't worry about the $20!"

    FREE UTILIKILT? F#@%ING EH!!!!!

Here are a couple hastily snapped pics. What do ya'll think?

With a Sportkilt shirt... I hope that isn't some sort of blasphemy

Score! The second pic seems to work especially well, but Alaskans aren't exactly reknown for style.

Great choice of tartan for the shirt too -- I have one in Maple Leaf in wool from Pendleton in Oregon.

Um. About the lumberjack thing though? I hope she wasn't implying. . .

Looking good. Tough to beat a free kilt...especially when it fits so well.

Sweet! You'll end up wearing that one a lot. I wear mine(I have a couple) almost everyday. They make great "do anything" kilts, you wont worry about messing it up much.

    Opposite Direction

As had been said, hard to beat a free kilt. Having said that you have gone the opposite of my path in kilting, I did not own a wool or even a MM PV kilt at the time I got my UK. I now wear it mainly just for particularly dirtier or real active activities and flying (not bad for flying save the airport hassles). Now that I have worn both PV and wool kilts my level of satisfaction is a little diminished as I am not as comfortable with the narrower apron. In your circumstance it was a great deal, but the UK Original today is overpriced for what you get. Lots of better kilts for the money. AltKilt is one.
