    On a contemporary kilt, like a UK, I prefer a narrow apron for the reason already mentioned by the other posters. (Obviously, a traditionally styled kilt works best with a traditional width apron.) I've never had trouble with a UK snagging or flying open, and I own 7.

    I have both and right now I like the wide apron on my traditional kilt, but that will probably change again!
