Best way is to just keep wearing it.

I think Ron advocates soaking it in a fabric softener rinse overnight(?) before completing the rinse cycle - something about the chemicals breaking down the fibers a little?

I have a black Workman that I felt was just too new looking, so I started off running it through 7 - 8 wash cycles before hanging it out to dry; leached out some of the dye, and the constant agitation broke it in some. It's still stiff, but it's a lot less stiff than before.

*EDIT* Oh, and after I hang-dry a UK completely, I usually toss it in the dryer with 6 tennis balls for about a half hour.

Thanks, I'll give that a try.

Well, I ran it through the dryer last night with a couple of sheets of fabric softener and 6 tennis balls, and it certainly SEEMS a lot softer, thanks; I'll continue doing the same thing over the next couple of wash cycles.

Yes I do actually, my apologies for the misuse of the above stated acronym. I don't think I'll mind the stiffenss everyone is talking about so much, but then again, I do like starched shirts and well pressed clothing.
