Does Anyone Own an Eggplant Leather RKilt?

So, of course when I'm craving a leather kilt I just gotta go see what's up at RKilts.

I see the eggplant leather kilt. I'm looking for a purpleish leather kilt I can wear for domestic violence prevention functions (I'm on the board of our local DV agency).

On my montior the color looks purpleish. Eggplants are purpleish.

Just wondered if anyone had the real thing and could give some feedback on the color...or a pic...

    Thanks,

    Ron

I have the buckskin leather RKilt (Robert insists on calling it saffron) so I know well the quality. curious about the color.

No, but I've drooled over one. 'Tis indeed a dark purple.

OK, I must admit I am curious as to why you would want a purple leather kilt for DV functions. Is it because it resembles a bruise?

I have no clue why purple was selected as the color for domestic violence prevention ribbons. Maybe because of that. God knows they come in purpled up to the ER.

But they give us purple polo shirts, and purple is the common theme. Every year the agency has a contest with the schools and other human service agencies to see who can decorate with the most purple.

    Its just purple.

Since it is, I'm considering a purple leather kilt. I love the two leather kilts I already have. Just an option for me.

But I'm hoping that the egg plant color of the leather is obviously purple to the most uneducated viewer. I know it won't be crayon purple....

Ah, that explains it. I had no idea that purple was the official colour of the domestic violence agency. Now it makes perfect sense as to why you would want a purple leather kilt. Not that it helps you much but I checked out the pic on the site and it looks like a cross between a maroon and a purple (just like an eggplant). A very sweet looking kilt whether or not it matches the shade you are looking for.

Like I said it is a dark purple but Robert's pics are accurate. Talk to Robert, he may be able to lighten up the purple some, then again there's always his hot pink...

You could always request a swatch.

For sure have requested a swatch...knowing full well the captivating smell that will arrive. Was hoping someone on the board had an eggplant kilt though. Different pics in different light...being worn..

    Okay. Will await the swatch.
