Hurray for sweaters and pullovers.

Tonight I’m kilted at home at some tasks in my semi-heated basement, and well away from the subfreezing outdoor temperatures in my local.

But as I think of it, even in the transitional seasons, I’ve come to prefer going without a belt, so hurray for sweaters and other pullovers.

I've been doing the same thing lately. Though I'm leaning to the sweater vests in solid colors for wearing with my kilts. I used to wear them years ago, got away from wearing them, and now enjoy the vests again. My son got me a couple of Argyll sweater vests that I wear with my pants.

I got a great icelandic sweater for christmas, and it fits perfectly with my kilt. Now, I don't remember the last time I wore a belt.

A few years ago my school had "Dress Like a Teacher Day". A couple of the boys wanted to dress like the band director, who wore sweater vests. They searched all over town before finally finding a couple of them in a store.

I, too, like sweaters, but I prefer waffle-knit, thermal, Long John-type shirts. Back in the fall, I made myself a camouflage cardigan. No pics yet, but hopefully I'll get them posted soon.
