Isle of Skye in PV
Hello fellow XMarkers
I have been pondering the idea about getting the Isle of Skye done in the same 12oz PV with a kilting selvage that i did the Maple Leaf in I was wondering if there was any interest out there as I have there permisson from the owner to get it woven , what I would like to know is if your interested please send me an email or pm me I am waiting on a couple of details but from there i will be asking for a financial commitment because i would have to not only pay royalities and for a bolt to be done up so please let me know .

Well,
As Lochcarron makes IoS, make sure there are no copyright issues first.
Otherwise, I'm SURE there would be PLENTY of interest here.
Now, me, I will probably get the wool (as I would be making a box pleat). So, don't count me as a "yes," though I might be converted.

I HATE YOU PETE! You know the wife has banned me from buying more kilts and you know that I can't be out done by that so-called McMurdo in his IoBS.

Okay I've been sitting here contemplating (and writing smartarse comments on other threads). Now if I order material to make my own kilt, mess it up and have MacHummel have to come in and save the day... plus I could one up McMurdo as we'd both be BOIOS and I have leather... need purple hose though and only McMurdo has a source for them...

Could you give us a ballpark figure that we would be committing to? Like, what would 5 or 6 yards cost?

You could check here for Purple Hose.
