    Kilt Number 8 is here!

It is a khaki colored Amerikilt and I just got my hands on it today - it arrived yesterday and was at the apartment office.

I tried it on out of the box and it felt wonderful. It seemed just a little lighter than the Utilikilts to which I am accustomed but much softer. The only thing I didn't like about it was when I sat down it didn't behave nicely like a UK.

In a UK when I sit down and spread my legs the apron falls into place and everything is covered. In the Amerikilt when I sat down the apron DID NOT fall into place and when I tried to push it down the kilt got much shorter. I had this same thing happen with the Stillwater Nighstalker Standard. Worse yet, with the Amerikilt when I would spread my legs a little more I was once again showing too much.

I guess now I appreciate my even Utilikilts more.

Even more mysterious - after washing the kilt when I hung it up to dry and was smoothing out the fabric, the outside pleats are sewn down but the inside pleats don't even exist - they are not even creased. How can a kilt be half pleated? I'm very confused.

However, I seems like it will be a very comfortable kilt for long walks.

Oh....and they sure did give me a whole lot of business cards. My goodness! I had business cards falling out all over the couch and the floor. I don't even think I know that many people!

Now I just hope that kilts number 9 and 10 get here soon. Then my collection will be complete.

Hate to be the one to break it to you, but the collection will most likely not be complete until you're on your deathbed

Uh huh, we believe you. I got my first kilt last August, I now have 45. A collection is never complete.

    Congrats on the new kilt.

Hey! I'll have 6 in relatively short order, and I have been doing this for maybe 2 months. Yeah, it took me too long to get started... just always convinced myself that I didn't have enough money, despite a long time desire to get a kilt. Well, now that I have started, I have no intention on stopping... so collection...complete? Bull!
