| | | Kilts @ H&M
H&M clothing designer Marc Jacobs is launching what they call "kilts" in certain markets for 2010. I found a few pictures to share with the rabble for discussion.
I personally don't like them too much... especially the one with pleats in the front and apron in the back!?!? But more men wearing kilts can't be bad, can it?
From H&M's catalogue:
Marc Jacobs, with pleats in the back?

How hard is it for them to know this simple truth: Pleats in the BACK!

Not a big fan... The pleats in the front make it look a bit too much like a skirt IMHO....

We have several H&M's here in Chicago but I seriously doubt that they'll have the "initiative" to stock them here.
Which is probably a good thing...

| If they were actually kilts, I'd agree. If it's a new "skirt" for men, uh, not so much...

They look a bit too long for the Highland kilt. So, are these 'midis' (think 1970s)?

Pleats in front, apron in back?
I'm not an engineer (though I play one on
t.v.) but why not turn the thing around?
What material? Is it worth a look-see
(H&M is in Orlando)? Could be a okay "house kilt"
for bumming around the castle.

AA | I'm guessing there's a chance they'll show up in the store in San Francisco... perhaps I'll take a look - kilted, of course.

Love the idea and I hate the execution.
