| | | logos on Sport Kilts and USA Kilts
I've been loving my UK Mocker and after attending the CT St. Andrew's Society Scottish Festival yesterday, I think it's time for my second kilt. I'd like to find one my grandmother's McPherson tartan and I've been doing my homework using the search function, comparing Sport Kilts, USA Kilts and the Frugal Corner.
One of my biggest concerns with the Sport Kilts and USA Kilts is the large logo they seem to have sewn on the front of their kilts (on the waist for the former and on the lower apron of the latter). I was wondering if anyone knows if it's possible to order one of these kilts WITHOUT the unsightly logo or if it's possible to remove them without damaging the kilt. I understand the companies need to promote themselves, but I think the logos take away from the kilt far too much.

Why don't you ask Rocky at USAKilts yourself? He's a member of this forum. My guess is he will probably be happy to help you out. As always, when you have a question, its best to contact the kilt maker directly
Cheers and welcome to XMarks!

We'll gladly leave off the patch upon request... just make a note when you place your order and we'll write it on your slip.
BTW... the patches are sewn on, NOT ironed on and even if you have a kilt of ours with the patch already ON it, it can easily be removed without damaging the kilt.
I hope you enjoy your kilt no matter which company you choose. |

Not a problem. Xmarks is a great place to get reviews of products and talk directly to several kiltmakers and company owners.

The same thing works with Sportkilt - tell 'em you don't want one and they won't put it on.
CT - tell 'em you want 1 inch pleats and they'll do that too |

I'm kind of the same way. I ordered a USA Kilt and didn't even think about the logo until I received it. I like the kilt for its purpose but wish I had thought to leave the patch/logo off.
