Thumbs up My first modern kilt....well actually

........this is my first kilt ever and i am completely converted from pants, from shorts, and the whole horrible lot of legged garments. I got my kilt Saturday, an olive green Glasgow, it came in the mail from Daron at Alpha Kilts. Ive worn my kilt three of the last four days and gotten a ton of complements on it. This was the best $150.00 bucks i ever spent. Im already waiting on my second kilt to be completed in my family tartan (Abercrombie) and then my third in dark brown.

But it's much easier to believe if we can see some pics.

Doesn't take long, does it? After wearing a kilt for only a short while and experiencing superior comfort and style, one has to wonder why men in western society are so set on pants.

Congrats, and best wishes for your new unbifurcated future!

Somehow they believe you're Man if you wear pants/trousers. But actually; you have to be a Man to wear a kilt!

Yeah, that argument kinda lost steam when women started wearing them.

    Eyeball,

Depending on what you do with your life, there will still be lots of opportunity to wear trousers. Nothing wrong with trousers, and a helluva lot handier for some jobs.
Not bashing kilts mind you, but it always puzzles me when folks bash trousers!
Kilts'll work with an office job, but for welding, roughnecking, or beating through the brambles on a days shooting, I know what I'd choose!

Welcome, and I'd like to see pictures too!

I think it's safe to say that a lot of people (myself included) are not necessarily bashing trousers for the sake of bashing trousers, but bashing the societal expectation that men must wear trousers. I find kilts to be superior in comfort, and superior in practicality for all but the roughest/dirtiest of activities.

Given the comfort of a kilt, I'd even prefer to wear it for those rough activities and supplement it with some lower leg coverings, rather than wear trousers that will pinch and bind and limit my movement.
