My Second Sports Themed Kilt

Hey everyone, I have finished my second kilt for sports team themed colors. I not have the patch for the Over Apron yet, like my first one (it will hopefully be in the mail tomorrow so I can attach it).

This one is my Baltimore Orioles Kilt. I changed it a little from my original, went to all box pleats this time, it is a lot easier to do, and I will be making a few this way and will hopefully have them finished here in the next few weeks. Now that I have a new sewing machine its a ton easier, I also improved my finishing abilities on the kilt, the first one ended up having a lot of rough edges, but this one looks really nice even on the underside.

The front, I will be adding a Retro Orioles patch to the over apron.
thats the back its a lot less pleats then my first one, but thats because I did the box pleats, which made it a lot easier to make and a lot less work.
Again, I made pockets, these are a little smaller then my first one, but thats because I forgot to compensate for the material I needed when I got the material for the inserts. Something I will have to correct on my next one. These will do though, because they are still big enough to hold my cell phone and my money clip, but not much beyond that.
I used solid color material on this one, couldn't find any material in logo, and realized I would have trouble finding a lot of other sports material, so I decided to go with main colors of the team, and I will add the patch as soon as it comes in.

All of the pictures you can click on them to enlarge them, I will post a finished photo of my first one, since I had not had an ironed picture of it yet, I just finished getting that one ironed if anyone was wondering about that one.

Update Photos

Well the patch came in.

That's a close up, I know its a bit blurry, but my back was killing me and I was just trying to get a couple pictures taken, will have to take better one's at some point.
I decided to go with the Retro patch, I think it looks awesome.

No Ravens, I am a Cowboys Fan, lol.

I have a Capitals Kilt, that has been set aside, almost finished, just have to put the waist band into it. It is red main body, with white inserts, and white thread, I want to do another Capitals one with the main body dark blue and red and white inserts.

Well I'm not much of a sports fan...but I gotta say well done mate. I love the color difference between the inner and outer pleats, really eye catching!

Can't say I'd ever heard of the Baltimore Orioles until I saw this thread, but that is a very good looking kilt. Well done!

I am waiting impatiently for the Caps. kilt. Is it going to be Red with exposing blue, or with exposing white? Will it have flashes of the logo? Lots of questions, and eager anticipations.

Oh, and, Go Colts!

Oh, and, Go Colts!
its red, with white pleat inserts. and I have the new shoulder logo on the bottom front.

It will be another week or two, I have been dealing with a few health issues over the last few weeks, and moving, so it had to be put on the back burner.

I might be making my friend a Colts one, He is a colts fan, he just hasn't gotten me all the info for me to be able to do it yet.

If only I had the money, I would buy one, then wear it when they go to the Superbowl.

I see an Arkansas Razorbacks themed kilt in my future with an embroidered hog. I already have a custom razorback red sporran with a chrome hog on it
