New Tiger-stripe camo
Here's the inaugural outing in my new self-made Tiger-stripe camo knife-pleated hiking kilt. I took it out for a stroll on the trail system maintained by the local college campus about 2 miles from my house. Photo was taken in front the ruin of an old dam that was constructed in the very early 1900's for hydroelectric generation.

I also made the sporran. I'm calling it hiking sporran version 1.0. Olive canvas with paracord tassels. It's roomy enough for lots of stuff, and has a top-mounted zipper for easy access.

Great photo, and the talent to be able to sew up your own kilt always blows me away.

When you said tiger-stripe, I expected orange and black! How can anyone ever find you in the woods now? :D
Was that picture taken at Montreat?

No...at Warren Wilson College. It's literally in my back yard, and has plenty of trails for a quick jaunt with my dog. Not steep like Montreat, so we hike double-time.
And as an LSU alum, the idea of a real tiger-stripe kilt has occurred to me, but I really don't see that actually happening.

That's handsome, and I really like it with the sporran.

Great job on the kilt. And the sporran is an excellent idea... really great fit with the camo kilt!

Well done and looking good!

Very nice. I dunno if I'd be bold enough for orange and black tiger stripes though. I do like the camo !

Both looking good; kilt and sporran. Any chance to see the pleated part of the kilt?

I like that sporran and the kilt is very nice. Looks like a great place for a hike and exploration.
