One Slighty Bad Thing About The HWSK.
My only complaint so far.
It's to damn hot. It's gotta be over 80 degrees outside. Humidity is high. I was wearing my SWHK.
I was sweating so profusely that I was leaking. Sweat ran down my legs in rivers, and dripped from portions of my male anatomy. When standing still, little puddles would form at my feet. My wife noticed that "Hey bub, your leaking oil!" and told me to look down. Indeed, there was little puddles of liquid. You could visibly see droplets falling out of my kilt.
I guess I will not be wearing a 13oz acrylic kilt in the summer. Will make a fantastic winter kilt I think, but I believe I am going to have to stick to PV for summer wear. It's only going to get hotter. Ugh.
Went out and gone to Stickyfingers BBQ. MMM mmm. I was so dehydrated when I got there that I gulped down a half dozen glasses of ice water, followed by 3 glasses of sprite with a couple of lemon wedges.
Inspite of sweating profusely, maybe because I was sweating profusely, and with all the water evaporation cooling me down, I will still cooler in my SWHK than I ever was in pants. 8)

I'm waiting on the correct size showing up, but I have to agree, I'm not going to be wearing the SWK Heavy around much in the summer time, even in Seattle. It'll be nice though for football games in the Pullman Fall though!

If I remember my college Textiles course correctly; synthetic fabrics tend to be hotter in the heat and cooler in the cold.
Of course they didn't have that synthetic fleece made out of old plastic bottles back then (1962) they were just talking about nylon and polyester and rayon.
