    Practikilts??

Does anyone know anything about Practikilts sold on Museam Replicas.com? They seem like a cheap knock-off of the UK but I don't want to count anything out without more knowledge. Unfortunately their site doesn't offer much in the knowledge dept. I couldn't even find a length measurement. Hopefully some of you have heard something.

Do a search on "Practikilt" and you'll find at least 3 good threads on this kilt.

As I recall in those threads everyone agreed that they looked like a cheap UK knock-off and that the ad copy lacked sufficient detail. Has anyone actually seen one "live" since that time?

    Best regards,

haven't seen them in person, but even in the pictures they look awful, and pictures usually make things look better than they really are...

just remember, you get what you pay for

On a whim I actually bought one...

Hey its been awhile guys! I'm usually more of a lurker [on forums] but haven't been on here since RL (Also the Kingdom Hearts video game..) has kept me busy awhile now. Anyways on to the topic at hand:
Having not found much info on the Practikilt I actually went and bought one. Compared to my Utilikilt tho I'm kinda ashamed to have gotten it now. If you'd all like I could write up a more detailed report about it with pictures and such but at the moment its pretty late at night and I should be getting to bed so I can get up for work

That would be great DB, and you'd be providing a real service for those trying to figure out whether to buy one.

    Best regards,

Bought one of the tan ones and sent it back. Too light of material and flimsily made. But after seeing Nathan Fillion from "Firefly" and "Serenity" wearing the leather one in an interview, got one and it fits well at 21" length, right at the knee. Snaps are junk, and the back pocket is right in the middle, so it's definitely club/pub wear. Bought it to wear on stage playing classic rock. Suspect it's much lighter than other leather kilts.
