    Question about my SWK

Well, some of you may remember that I ordered myself a SWK standard, in Nightstalker tartan. Anywho it was way too long, hanging way past my knee. So, I had a good friend hem it for me. I have the waist up where it should be, I think, and the kilt hem is now right at the top of my knee. The total length of the kilt now measures 20". I am 5'6" tall, does this seem like an appropriate length? Thanks folks! Oh, I will send pics as soon as I take some too...

    That depends on you, really.

Top of the knee is a traditional length, so it is not too short, unless you don't like it.

I'm 5'7", and I wear it up a little high on the waist, but my kilt is 22".

If you like it, and it looks good, wear it with pride!

I'm 5" 8" and a bit, and the SWK 24" length is perfect for me, so it all depends on how you're built.

I'm 6'-3", and I can wear a kilt 24" long. Brings the selvage to just about the top of the knee with the waistband just above my navel, and I won't wear one any longer than that.

Send us a pic, and we'll comment. Believe me, we'll comment!

Honestly that sounds like it could be right. Height is one factor but so are body shape and proportions, however photos would help to see how it really is.

i'm 5'7" and the SWK length fits fine by me. My Irish Nat and Black Watch Econ's hang just past the knees.
