Thumbs down TFCK on HOLIDAYS!!!!!

Hi all,

Just thought I'd let you all know that Howie Nicholsby - and therefore all of 21st century kilts - is on bloody holidays for 2 weeks and if you're planning on going to Edinburgh specifically to buy several kilts off him - as had been my plan - that you will be unsuccessful.

I arrived here from australia to find a note in his window saying he'll be off until friday. Well, I'll be flying back to australia, kiltless, on Friday the 19th.

How much trouble woud it be to put that kind of info on one's website?!?!

After taking 3 weeks to respond to my initial email and now this, you could say I'm less than impressed with the customer service at tfck. I'm going to try and contact him but I'm only in town for 2 days. Looks like I'm going to Geoffrey tomorrow instead.

I can't express in words how disappointed I am.

What is a website for? Why bother having it? Is it just a glorified advertisement? Apparently, yes. Here was me thinking that his website would contain little details like "oh, we'll be closed for half a month".

Any suggestions of fun stuff to do here?

Ian

Ian, that sucks. Sorry to hear that. Visions of lampoons Family Vacation...."Sorry folks, the parks closed. The moose outside should have told you." Plan B, find nearest pub and have a pint

If you can make the stuff shown in your picture album, I should not worry too much about missing Howie. Your work looks pretty good to me.

Thats a bit of a bummer, I phoned the other day to check their opening times and the lady that answerd never said anything about being shut anytime soon. I was plaining on heading down next week for the same reason as you, Did the sign say when they are going to be open again?

Thanks.

It is very unprofessional seeing as I phoned up to check their opening times (which also isnt mentioned on the webiste) and to see if their open on sundays, The irish sounding Lass gave me the whole speel but never once mentioned being shut.
