I didn't post anything about my gigging out of state until after the fact for a reason. First, I had to actually get there and check out the venue before I can honestly say what I'll be wearing. It works that way for any gig. Some places are very stict about attire when you're doing something so specific as swing or jazz... or say for instance bagpiping. Seriously, would a professional bagpiper play in slacks instead of a kilt? It happens, but not very often.

Also, I just started posting in this forum a few months ago. I didn't want to just jump on and shamelessly promote my band here. That's not what this forum is for. I posted after because I thought others might appreciate that I spent almost the entire trip in a kilt.

Regardless, it is cool that some of you would be interested in coming out to hear my group. Next time we're out of state, I'll make it known on the "off topic" thread.
