Trying to Come Full Circle: Khaki Canvas Kilt

This morning I started working on my khaki canvas kilt to move a belt loop a little and Finnish up a few small alterations I had started a long time back.

There's just something about the rugged feel of canvas that is appealing to me in these kinds of kilts.

Mine is an all cotton Buzz Kidder. Guess it reminds me of a London Fog overcoat or something.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

Is that the one depicted in the photo of you standing next to that large cactus in the "American Gothic" pose?

    Yes.
"American Gothic" and my picture with the cacti are both in my profile picture album.

I added a picture of a ceramics pit firing, to the album, where I wore the kilt. More summerish...

Well let the circle be unbroken brother Bugbear! I think an American made, contemporary, non-tartan, canvas kilt would be an excellent way for you to re-test the waters of kilting...

    The Circle...

I keep thinking about the belted zebra plaid I had planned to make long ago, and brought up in some other thread. That would be for walking my property in the winter nights and fall/winter bonfire events.

It's clouds of dust, not fog.

Ted, only Africans are entitled to wear the zebra plaid.
