U.S. or Canadian Help Kilt??
I love my denim kilt. I see ads in mainline catalogs for hemp jeans.
Wondering if any of the contemporary kiltmakers have thought of making up a hemp kilt? After the debacle in the Far East we know there's at least a small market for them.
I'm interested. If anyone else is, let the kiltmakers know.
Thanks,
Ron

I have entertained the idea, granted I only sourced it out from one supplier and the costs were double. On Tuesday I will be going to a number of suppliers(new to me) and check it out

Thanks Robert...be interesting.
The new Orvis Catalog (pretty mainstream eh?) is advertising hemp jeans in blue and natural, for $89.
That's a lot more than denim jeans for sure. They advertise the hemp as "26 times stronger than cotton, more abrasion resistant than any other natural fabric, more absorbent than cotton, and as breathable as linen. Hemp fabric makes sense for hard wear on the go." won't shrink, cool rugged, and comfortable next to the skin....sounds like a good fabric for a kilt if its workable.
