Utilikilts are just horrible. They last a long time and provide no exuse to your wife as to why you need a new one. Just horrible I tell you. All bang for the buck and such....people love it....looks stylish.....goes great with everything....*grumble
My wife likes quotes, so here's mine.

Try changing the oil in the truck or car, and getting really dirty.... sure it will cause a stain, and not be usable for the Prom, but it will still be usable, and then you will have a good excuse!

I have 11 tartan kilts and have been thinking about getting a Utilikilt.. and your statement just pushed me over the edge.

Three weeks ago I received my fifth Utilikilt, a Mocker. I like its clean “design”. I can only confirm what others have already said: the quality is excellent. They hardly wrinckle, contrary to my Amerikilts, which need too much ironing.

I've owned 15 Utilikilts. They're bulletproof. No accident they've grown like they have.
I wash, hang dry from three WalMart hangars with five clips per hanger. Then I attach a weighted clip (1/2 ounce fishing weight duct taped to each side of a clip) to each pleat. The gentle weight pulls the pleats straight while the kilt dries. No ironing needed.

I just got that utilikilt in the mail today. For being just a standard utilikit, this thing is heavy duty. I couldn't imagine what a workman's utilikilt would be like.

Black, Olive, Khaki, and Heather Grey Mocker UKs here as well as one Black Original (NeoTraditional). Have also had a Sage Survival and an Urban Camo Original. Just wash and hang them to dry. If occasional pleat curling bothers you, Steam Ironing will take care of that.
I love mine and far prefer the cut of the Mockers to a traditional kilt (or even any of the other models of UK.)

I just throw mine into the washer, no problems.
