Want product review- UK Blackbeard belt

I've been gazing with material greed at the Utilikilt Blackbeard kilt belt for some hours now- that is, the belt as seen on their website; I've never seen one in the flesh. Seems like it would be worth the cost, and is not the usual Celtic shop attire but I'd like to hear what any owners might think, or ditto from someone who has actually handled one (the truth about leather is in the handling). Also, if anyone can explain exactly how the buckle works, that would be a bonus: it's not clear from the picture. Esp. with mail order belts, I prefer something that is as adjustable as possible, if necessary with a leather punch, and the fancier arrangements are often not that.

My brother-in-law has that belt and although he lives 18+ hours away, I have seen him wearing it it once. It does look as good, if not better, in person. I do have to admit I did not examine it closely or feel the leather.

I may be wrong, but the design looks VRY similar to an "Old West" gunbelt. If I'm right, I'm pissed: I had thought about getting such (sans cartridge loops) when I got my first UK, and the wife talked me out of it!
