It is 61 degrees F with sunny periods and heavy showers with a strong Westerly breeze here and I am just deciding what thickness of pullover(sweater) I shall need.

Summer has finally arrived here!

After a dreary on again /off again start to the season, we are suppose to have a full week of sun & warm temps (mid to upper 70's).

With the way it's been going though, this will probably be it for our summer!

You think you got it bad...try piping facing direct sun, in "traditional" kit, when it's supposed to top out at 94 degrees.

Two things to keep in mind...keep the kilt swinging, you'll stay cooler. Next, hide in the beer tent, where you're out of the sun and the beverages are nice and cold.

Disclaimer & Request: There is a reason that I have not posted this in the general kilt section.

Devolution:

In this unusually warm season in my local, and likely to continue, my kilted outfit choices are more and more low casual rather than high casual, let alone anything more.

Anyone else?

It is quite hot here in Toronto. The temp has been hovering close to 30C. with a humidex that makes it feel close to 40C. Wearing a kilt in this weather I need to add a dab of Body Glide - you can get it @ a locale runner's shop.

Just one more reason I want to go home to the Sound!! Right now I'm in Ft. Sill, Oklahoma, and will be for a couple of months. It's been nearing the triple digits and it's so humid that it's hazy. I haven't stopped sweating for two weeks! I WISH I could wear my kilt out here, but I can't get out of ACU's.

Oh, and the mosquito is the state bird! They bite through three layers of heavy fabric. They might even be able to penetrate body armor...we'll see.

At 10:00 pm, 92F, humidity makes it feel like 100F.
Forget it. NO item of clothing is comfortable in this.

It has been hitting 95+ or so here, which has been putting my office around 100-110.

Utilikilt, or acrylic kilts all the way. Sandals, tee shirts and ... strange to those who know me ... no hat.

I have no clue what I'd do if I didn't the kilts. Shorts just don't cut it for me ... I so dislike how they feel.
