2008 Kilt Kamp in Franklin, NC

    Hi folks,

I've repeated below Matt's email about Kilt Kamp 08 that was posted to General Talk a couple days ago. Items scroll off the bottom of the General Talk so quickly, I wanted to put this into a category that would keep the announcement near the top for awhile so that people don't miss it. We've also posted Kilt Kamp announcements here before.

    Here's Matt's original announcement:

That's right, gang. You read the title right. Kilt Kamp 2008 is on, and will be hosted this year by the Scottish Tartans Museum in Franklin, NC.

The dates are June 9-13, which is the week right before our annual Taste of Scotland Festival. Come for the Kamp. Stay for the Festival!

Here is the web site with all the info:
    http://kiltkamp.scottishtartans.org/index.html

What more can I say? Read the web site. Come to Kilt Kamp!

Registration for the full 5-day kamp is limited to the first 12 registrants, so don't delay if you plan on coming. Friday's scheduled semianars are open to the public, no limit other than how many folding chairs we can find (and then there is standing room....)

    Yay!

Just bumping this (misspelling and all) back to the top so that people don't miss it.

LOL Never noticed the misspelling! I've fixed it for you (and give it another bump by this post!)

Marvie - thanks! I asked someone to fix it before, and he thought it was fixed. Now it truly is!

It looks marvie to me! And I'm old enough to remember when that was a common phrase!

Yeh, us oldsters know what it means. It's an abbreviation for "marvelous".

I remember it, just thought it was spelled "marvy." Kinda like "groovy." Glad to see it resurrected.

How is the registration coming along?

Three so far, that I know of. Anyone else want to join us? Even for a couple of days? I could at least get you started.

And, yeh, I just checked Google, and it's supposed to be spelled "marvy".....I'll have to get it right next time, if I can remember!
