Batley Mill?

I am interested in contacting this mill as a source for tartan and to compare their prices with other mills I am already in contact with. I cannot however find any info for them online (besides the fact that they exist...)

Can anyone help me out?

(BTW if there's a better forum to post this in please point it out to me...)

N Batley Bros has been undergoing financial reorganization recently, with some rumors of the tartan mill closing, although that has been denied by the "new" managers. You might do a search on the forum for "batley" as there was a recent thread about the situation including contact information and some links to news releases, etc...

Batley make a nice inexpensive product with relatively soft colors compared to most of the other major mills out there. I have one batley torridon on order now, but have no other previous experience with the fabric to fall back on or reference fore you. I am sure others in the kiltmakers group can help you with Batley fabric related questions.

Good luck.

I believe that Batley material can be had on Scotweb. I don't have first hand knowledge of the material but I have heard that it is a looser weave than tartans wooven by mills like Lochcarron and Strathmore.
