Yeah. I noticed it as well.
I suppose there were just too many emerging kilt companies to keep a forum for each.
Makes sense anyhow.

Look at the topic "Realignment 2" in the comments and suggestions area,
it covers what is going on.

Is this section reserve for the kilt makers to sound off and to make any announcement?

I know what I would like to see!
If you guys have any questions about making YOUR OWN kilts, or having anything done in alterations, this would be a great place. I'm MORE than happy to lend advise, and so is Bear and Robert.
THE LAST THING THAT WE NEED is the advertising that we saw before. If the kiltmakers want to advertise... pay Hank for the right to do so like the other companies do!!! This is a message board and kilt community... NOT a freakin' billboard on the side of the highway!!!
See that advertisement at the top of the page for The Kilt Store? I think we can read that and go there for our shopping.
Gawd, I hate laziness!!!

Hate laziness???? All the great innovations and inventions were created by the lazy to reduce the workload. I LOVE laziness.
Everything in excess! To enjoy the flavor of life take big bites. Moderation is for monks.

I am not sure that I understand the reference to KiltStore, Jimmy.
Yes, I was going there before they started sponsoring Hank's site and, being in the United Kingdom rather than North America, it is so much easier for me to deal with them than to engage in transAtlantic shopping (which I sometimes regret due to the exciting new angles some of you are putting together with your contemporary kilts - especially Utilikilts). Adele and Nick are a really nice couple, too.

I'm making a point that XMarksTheScot is a WONDERFUL community of active kilt enthusiasts and people. It is NOT a place for kilt companies to get free advertising at Hank's expense! That's cheap and lazy!!!
If they want to make their points (without being asked by a member) about their offerings... then they can certainly "pony-up" like the fine folks at The Kilt Store did, and support this forum with ads.
I've made the same point at the CelticRadio.net forum, and look who's advertising over there! The cream always rises to the top!
By the way... THANKS "Kilt Store" from the members at XMarks! The support is appreciated!

I have no problem when kilt makers come in and make their announcement. It is nice to know that new products and/or styles are available.
Just make it subtle.
