I guess the center of population would be best. Any guesses where that is?
My guess would be a little further to the north of the middle of the USA.
| Since the Mean center of US population is in Phelps County, Missouri (along I-44) then St. Louis or even Springfield would be the obvious choice!

Todd | I'd go for that, time permiting. Of course, the mountains of Colorado would make a great setting. |

Under the charter establishing the Carolinas, the western end of the state extended to the "left" coast. Therefore if it were held in the middle of North Carolina, that would put it about, say, Greensboro. |

Personally, I would love to see a West Coast Kilt Kamp in 2009.
We couldn't make the one's out here this year due to our move.
Pleeeeeeeease set a date.
Hey, Phoenix is a major hub, and there are a lot of Celts in AZ. A great place to host one!
If needed, let me know, I'll help set it up.

One idea that was tossed out was having the next Kamp in Panache's living room. Don't tell him though because we want it to be a surprise. | Well, you figure out a date, and I'll figure a way to get Grant past US Customs and onto a flight to California.

Hey! Just a minute. Aren't you guys forgetting something? What about all of us Europeans? My suggestion is that we take over one of the cruise liners and heave-to somewhere slightly west of mid-Atlantic for a long weekend. No?
Take care,
Ham.

I think Ham is on to something - just think of all the mischief we could get into in international waters!
