Trouble with my overapron

I've been working on my kilt in my off time for about a week now and have hit a snag. I am very confused about the layout of the overapron and the large pleat that goes under it. Can anyone post a photo showing the inside of this design so I can get a feel for it.

Thanks
Allen

Here is a shot, looking up at the hem, of a kilt made from Barb's book. Hope this helps, or is it a different area/issue you're asking about?

I am reading the instructions for making an X-Kilt at http://www.stanford.edu/~ahebert/X_Kilt_adobe.pdf In PDF format at the bottom of page 21 he mentions the pleat. I gather that I am taking the side of the overapron that touches the pleats and aligning it from there and sewing that crease on the opposite side.

My confusion comes on page 25 when he talks about tacking down the outer apron and ironing down that large reverse pleat.

You might glance through the DIY forum, that's where X Kilt questions generally land, and there are several threads showing construction details.

Also the stickied thread here.

Good luck, have fun, and keep us posted!

Also admit1person, the guy who wrote the X Kilt instructions is our own Alan H. If you would like you can send him a PM.

Thank you Sydnie That other thread was a great help. I'm not quite to that point yet but wanted to not get stuck when I got there. I am, however, on the painstaking process of tapering the fell.
