I asume you mean for a kilt belt.. well ther are kind of small. Your belt should be from 2 1/4 - 3" in size.

If you mean for a kilt, not a kilt belt, they will work. I purchase most all my buckles from Tandy/LeatherFactory.

I don't know what is normal for strap buckles, but the buckles on my Stilwater kilts looke very much like regular genaric 1.25" belt, buckles with the center bar .

*** Oops, I looked again. The kilt, strap buckles are not as long as the generic buckles I have, but they are the same width and would accept the same size strap. Would it make a difference? ***

They are a little long. Are you committed to 1-1/4" wide straps? What finish are you looking for? I've got a 1-1/4" square, brass buckle that will work well for a kilt strap (top one in photo). The lower one is the one you linked to at Tandy for comparison. There are lots of buckles out there if you can be a little flexible.

Drop me a PM if interested.

I guess I'm not set in stone with the 1 1/4". I'm just following the directions in "the book". I wanted to go with silver buckles as the pin is silver, bui I really like the look/length op the upper gold buckle.

Bronze is the hot new metal. It's not just third place anymore.
