Decided to finally buy a traditional kilt in my family tartan last month, and stumbled across Scotweb. I have to say that among all the various sites I looked at, I kept coming back to that one. I love the package builder - that was what really sold me. So now I just have to wait - not too patiently - for it to get here!
Originally my order showed that it would probably ship by 3/31, but after a couple of weeks the date jumped to 4/14 Hopefully it won't get pushed back any more.
I just wish I had found XMtS before I had ordered so I could have taken advantage of the discount |

Your extremely lucky your dates are in the future - all mine were in the past...Max ship dates for my order were always behind the current date |

When I ordered from Scotweb my date changed as well. They had to wait for a couple of the items that were on back order and they hold it for the entire order. I respect that, it ensures all of your items get to you. As for the quality, Top Notch! It is the best kilt I own. Not to mention the jacket and other items. Just be aware that when ordering the genuine stag handle sgian dubhs that it has to go through US Fish and Wildlife, as well as customs. There is an additional fee as well. But let me say, it is worth it! Especially now that the conversion rate is so much better. If you have to call them, they are the nicest people. Post pics when you get your stuff!

You're right, James. They're very professional and considerate. I actually blame myself for the delays... I typoed my height, and they diligently wanted to be check my measurements again and again until I realised that I had been telling them I was 6 foot 6 inches instead of just 66 inches ;) They were very patient with me.
I'm fearing the customs duties more than the timeline though!

Just checked my online status, and the date changed again... to 3/29! Which was yesterday... The kilt shows as in stock now, but my sporran and kilt pin are still AWOL, despite showing they should have been in stock by the end of February. Hopefully the end is near!

They are having sporran issues as of late. Your order might be a part of that. Have no fear, the sporrans take a minute, but they look great when you get them!

It finally came in! I had it shipped to work, so I ran into the restroom and changed Gorgeous, and fits perfectly. It's amazing the difference in feel between wool and PV, even if both are 16 oz. In hindsight, I think I would have gotten the 5 yd in Ferguson Ancient instead of the 8 yd Modern. My sporran also has white fur - I was hoping for grey, but that's the way it goes with it, I know. Looks great nonetheless.
All in all, just outstanding.

I received word that my sporran was on its way out of the UK heading my way. Supposedly, they put the correct cantle on it. I am very excite! Pics and review once I get it!
