ALBANNACH Tartan Kilts for sale!
A few months back, the Scottish band Albannach contacted us about designing a new tartan specifically for the band. Jamesey (Albannach's singer / long haired heartthrob) and I got to work on the colors and the design. Here is the description for the tartan as registered with the Scottish Tartans Authority:
The Bright Blue and White is for the Saltire.
The muted blue is for the numerous Lochs in Scotland.
The dark purple is for the heather and thistle.
The olive green is for the rolling hills.
The red is for the blood of those who fought for Scotland.
The Black is for those who died for Scotland.
The threads in the "saltire" section add up to 13 and the red threads add up to 14... The "Flag and Blood" sections are 1314 for the year Robert the Bruce lead at Bannockburn and reestablished Scotland's independence.
Here are 2 pictures of the tartan, taken in slightly different lights to show off the colors (though the TOP picture is closer to the actual fabric).

The material is 13 oz Lochcarron fabric.
If anyone would like a kilt in this tartan, we're selling them on behalf of the band, with the band's full permission. The prices will be our standard prices for our 5 yard wool and 8 yard Premier kilts (no 'red text surcharge').
We are presenting the 'great kilts' to the band on Feb 12th when they come to our area for the Mid Winter Festival in Valley Forge. We'll also be selling any remaining material (or kilts made from it) AT the Mid Winter festival for the band. If you'd like to get in on this, please note that once it's gone, IT'S GONE. We have about 30 Meters of surplus fabric to make kilts from (that's accounting for the material for the band's new kilts) OR to sell the material outright ($75 / yard double width).
Anyone interested should contact me at the shop: 610.935.3444

Albannach is truly great for listening, but to really experience tha band, you have to see them perform in person. The energy of the band is so amazing At a live performance, you feel the music as much as hear it.
