Dress Gordon Semi-Trad at Glen Canyon

Hiking out to the Overlook my niece was able to help me get some pics that are too far to do alone with the tripod and remote.

That's Glen Canyon and the Colorado River below me and the Vermillion Cliffs in the distance.

A pleat shot with the tops of the Echo Peaks just in front of me.

No worries, I know I can't fly..."To be, or not to be." Enjoy being....kilted...only two have been lost here so far this year...one jumped, one stood on a weak sandstone overhang that broke off just like Wiley Coyote.

Later at the Glen Canyon Dam Visitors Center by a turbine that was used deep in the dam to generate power for all you folks over in southern California.

Great pics. After driving through that area this summer, all that sand and lime stone gets a little old. But, seeing your pictures is always great. We never got to do any rafting in the river. Went to the site you mentioned, but the cost was prohibitive for a family of four.

The float trip is one of those deals where it seems "too expensive" up front but when you're done you rave about what a bargain it is.

Of course the overlook hike is free.

What an AWESOME gully carved by the Colorado. Ron, glad you didn't get too close to the edge.

Beautiful country Ron. Although it may not be for everyone, I can, and will again, drive around your part of the world for weeks on end and never get tired of seeing it! Thanks for the reminder...again!
