    German Heritage, German American

I was thinking of ordering one of these, and was hoping you guy could show me some pictures. I like the white/blue in the German American, but the Heritage looks nice too. Also thinking of different pleating options.

    Anybody have either?

I really like these myself as I think it would be a nice tribute to my mom (who's from Germany). I second the call for pictures please.

I personally have the German American Heritage on the wish list!
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

Here is a pic of Bobbie in her German Heritage Tartan Ladies Skirt I made for her.
I thought it would be fitting for her to wear at the funeral of her Aunt two weeks ago. Bobbies family trace their roots back to Germany and the funeral was at a church with German graves going back to the early 1700's.

This skirt is pleated to the Sett. It is a full Freedom Kilt with Side Slash Pockets.

Notice that it has a left side opening.

I believe that this is the first piece of fabric sold in the wonderful Tartan designed by Rocky Roeger of USA Kilts. He and I spoke on the phone when I ordered it from Marton Mills to insure he received his royalty for the design.

Close... It was probably the 3rd or 4th since I made myself one and two customers (not 100% sure on the number and dates). thank you for the selection though steve!

My German Heritage is pleated to sett as is my German American. I designed them so that they' could be pleated to sett OR stripe just as easily.

Here's my pic. I'm the one on the LEFT:

It is actually my favorite tartan kilt. Being a Mackay, I of course have a Mackay Tartan kilt, but actually wear my German American a heck of a lot more. I also get lots of comments and questions asking about the tartan leading to some great conversations.

I do like the new Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Tartan that USA Kilts has (http://www.usakilts.com/leomt_kilts.php), and am very tempted. I was going to talk to Rocky at the Celtic Fest this weekend and see if it has been woven yet. It is either that, or the Mackay Blue tartan. Either way the credit card will get some use this weekend!

These are two that are definitely on my list. My last name is definitely German and much of my heritage comes from there. Such beautiful tartans.
