    grey granite casual

I just picked up my first tartan kilt yesterday and got to test it out all day at the Mid-winter Scottish & Irish Music Festival. This one is a Grey Granite PV casual model. I am Really impressed with this kilt. I love the workmanship. I love the material. I love the tartan. I love the fit. While the PV material did show slight wrinkling after being sat on for 14 hrs, my cotton AK would have been trashed. The tartan pattern is somewhat darker than it appears on my monitor when viewed from the USAK web site, but this is a good thing.
Overall, I am a very happy customer. More importantly, my wife absolutely LOVES the kilt.

Please excuse the underapron hanging down, as I just threw it back on this morning for pics. and didn't realize until too late. Also, didn't notice I had it hanging a bit crooked, the kilt is not made this way.

These are real world views of pleats on a PV kilt after 12 hrs at a music festival plus a 2 hr drive home. I'm not the best pleat sweeper, either.

Close up shot. This or the second picture is probably the most accurate shot on my monitor to show the colors.

That is one sharp tartan and you make it look really good!

That is a pretty neat tartan.

Nice looking tartan, you wear it well.

Hey, this isn't post count padding or anything, but I saw the pic of the grey granite under the Hamish pose post. I really like the way that looks, along the lines of the SWK nightstalker, which I also really like. Yowza and wowza . . . .

Yeah, that's what I thought too. I really liked the Nightstalker tartan but I was looking more for the casual style of the USAK, and I wanted to do business with Rocky due to his great pre-sale customer service. The shots of the Nightstalker on the website looked good but every pic I have ever seen on X-marks makes it look very black. The grey granite is just what I was looking for. Bye the way, the pic in the Hamish Mark II post is very accurate as far as outdoor color goes.

Looks sharp. Indeed, the pleats take-a-beating and come out better than some! Thanks for sharing.
