That's great! Thanks for letting me know. For some reason, I'm starting to really like the wider pleats on the USAKs and the BKs. That would be for a non-formal look of course. I'll have to figure out why.

Tell ya what, its just as hot up here in the canyonlands as it is down in the valley. You'll find PV kilts comfy in the summer.

I put off getting any for a couple years...thought it was all hype and paid shills saying the good things about U.S.A. kilts...okay so I'm a skeptic.

Finally "broke down" and ordered one to see what all the fuss was about...well, two years later I own 18 U.S.A. kilts.

    Ya can't go wrong.

I've come to prefer the semi-trads, but if I was working with clay I'd wear a casual too.

Pics in my galleries if it helps you see the tartan in a kilt.

Thanks Ron. I'm at the point of pondering which tartans I would like to wear on an USAK. That's a whole different issue though.

You probably just need to get one of each tartan, that way your bases are covered.

My next kilt purchase is probably going to be a USAK as well. Sounds like just what I'm looking for.

    Jeez you guys,

This time of year its sort of like "visions of sugar plums dancing in your head"...only visions of kilts...

    What a wonderful place to be...."which tartan?....hmmmm"

Kind of like a kid in a candy store with only enough coinage for one piece...

    Ya gotta love this addiction.

PV vs. Wool Love them both, yet I see the PV as a more casual look, and in fact they do look nice in the more "formal" mode if need be. Great choices out there, have to get more for sure.

You can also consider a kilt apron to protect your kilt while throwing a pot, What Price Glory has them for $18.00 http://onlinemilitaria.net/shopexd.asp?id=1740&bc=no

Today in Chicago is in the 20's, so I'm glad to have my SWK heavyweight wool Black Watch.
