New PV TARTANS!

Hey Guys and Gals,

They're not live on the site yet, but I wanted to give you a sneak preview that we have 6 new (and 1 new-ish) tartans coming for our stock PV selections!

MacNeil (of Barra) Modern
Sutherland Modern
(Earl of) St. Andrew
Grant Hunting Ancient
Forbes Modern
Montgomery Modern

New-ISH is a slightly darker shade of Red in MacGregor Modern... looks much better now.

They should be LIVE on the site (including pictures) within a week.

Still no Crawford...looks like The Frugal Corner may have an exclusive on that in PV. Seems they are the only ones I can find with it. Oh well, I like wool too!

Frugal Corner kilts are made of acrylic, not PV.

It's kind of impossible to have an exclusive on a family tartan that's not copyrighted. They carry the Crawford b/c their supplier in Pakistan weaves it. Our supplier int he UK does not, so we can't carry it unless dozens of Crawfords were to request it (like we did with the MacGregor, US Army and US Navy tartans)... then we can do a special run of it.

Hope this hleps to clarify!

What- no Colorado state?!?!

It's great that you make it a point to get all these tartans, Rocky. I have no connection personally to any of the new ones, but I know plenty of others do, and will get use from them.

...which is why I will never own one. I hate acrylic.

About how many requests do you need to do have a special run made? I would love to have a USAKilt pv Leatherneck, and there are a bunchaton of Jarheads on this board.

If we can get an order of 20 or more kilts together, I'd be willing to do a special run in this tartan. If you (or anyone else) are just looking for a very basic kilt in the Leatherneck tartan, Jerry at SWK has it in Acrylic in his thrify and standard models.
