Perfect Pleats on a Casual Kilt

I love the Isle of Skye tartan. Its beautiful. And its meaningful since my ancestors came from the Trotternish Peninsula of Skye.

I have an Isle of Skye tartan kilt - top of the line hand sewn from 16 ounce Lochcarron Strome by the best kiltmaker in America. Spilled orange juice on it once and freaked me out. So I've wanted a knock around kilt in Isle of Skye tartan.

Figured I needed a couple more hot humid weather kilts so ordered an Isle of Skye USA Kilts Casual.

I know Rocky and Kelly and now Mac do good work. I've owned 25 USA kilts to date.

But CHECK THIS OUT!

I DO NOT HAVE THIS KILT ON BACKWARDS - those are the pleats. 17 pleats 2" deep with 1 1/2" reveal.

Amazing craftsmanship! Note how the tartan on the sporran strap loops match the kilt tartan.

Now you know why I keep coming back for more.

Here's the frontside.

Sorry if the pics are a bit dark. Raining today and couldn't get any outdoor pics.

Hey Ron, the pictures don't open up says "moved or deleted?"

Anyway, I assume they look like the pleats on my USAK casual IOS which, as you know, I just love!

Should be good now. Typo'd the title on my Photobook album and couldn't find a way to correct the name so did a new one and had to relink. Now can't figure how to delete the badly named album...ah, the learning curve.
