    Question for Rocky: Ladies Kilts?

Hey Rocky, have you ever thought about offering your kilts with the aprons reversed (right over left) for wear by the ladies? I'd like to get a woman's kilt for my wife to wear to kilt nights, without paying the high price for a custom job from Scotland (and I won't buy one of those wretched Sport Kilts!)....

    Hey Woodsheal,

We do have some stuff for the ladies, just not on our site yet.

We have kilted skirts and mini kilts. Please note that women's kilts don't "have" to have the apron facing the other direction... We've adjusted (and sold) several kilted skirts with the pleats and aprons going the same direction as a Man's kilt. We've had kilted skirts with the pleats going the opposite direction, but the aprons are the same directions as men's... we've had both the apron and pleats going the opposite direction.

If you need something for your woman, please drop me a line (or call me at the shop) and we'll set her up with something she'll like!

Thanks! I'll get an idea of what sort of tartan she might be interested in....

I'm glad to hear this...I got my wife a woolen shawl in the Campbell Tartan and she seems to enjoy it. I mentioned that it would look great with a black turtleneck and a Campbell Tartan mini-skirt...although I don't think that, at this age, she's going to go as "mini" as I would like. I'll have to keep working on getting her to let me order her one...

Let me chime in here for my Mrs. Early on, don't even know if Rocky remembers, I ordered a kilted skirt in my family tartan for her. Had it done in the casual style, velcro not straps and long, 32 inches, almost like a hostess skirt. Hits her just below mid-calf, yep she's a tall one. It is kilted in the same manner as a man's and has the left over right apron. She wore it out to dinner last night, got lots of looks. She also wears it to work with the same result.

Just asked her to make a comment about it and she said "I love it. It always gets a lot of attention when I wear it. Everyone seems to like it."

Another vote for Rocky and Kelly! May have to get her another one soon but not before mine.

I must confess that after receiving our Robertson Reds for Christmas, I'm very interested in one for the Mrs.!

How much, approx. would it be?

Depends... if she wants a "long casual", it'll be about $160. If she wants a true "Kilted Skirt" (in PV) it'll be about $170.

    Both are excellent deals.

I think I'm going to have to get one for the wife.

She's the queen of the clan, after all!

    women's kilts

I highly recommend Rocky and Kelly's kilts for women. I have a long kilted skirt and a mini kilt that they made and I love both of them. My minikilt is pv (light weight material/washable) and my long kilted skirt is wool. They are both really nice.
