    Ramsey Kilt

I am glad to say that my Ramsey Trad arrived today. It's one of the few days this week it isn't supposed to rain.

I really like this tartan. It has a wonderful shade of blue in it.

The odd thing is that this kilt feels different than the Douglas Trad I got a few months ago. Yet there is no reason for this as the measurements and the material is the same. I did ask Rocky to leave a little extra room in the hips on the Douglas, but not the Ramsey. But it fits fine. So the only explanation is that spring has arrived.

I would suggest the Ramsey tartan to anyone

I have a picture of a USAK Philabeg in Ramsay Blue in my photo album here, but be warned if profanity and crass humor makes you wet your kilt.

You know that is why Scots wear kilts...sheep can hear a zipper a mile away.

Scotland, where men are men, women and scarce and sheep are jumpy.

    Thanks!

I thought it looked very nice when I saw the Ramsey Tartan in a picture in a gallery here at X Marks.

    Ramsey tartan

Is the Ramsey tartan a clan tartan, or is it one from Ramsey, Isle of Mann, or other? The blue looks great, and I'm looking for a light-weight kilt for hiking in during hot summers when I'm in California. (I see that the casual kilt is available in-stock).
    Thanks.

The Ramsay Blue tartan is associated with the Clan Ramsay, sometimes listed as the Ramsay Hunting tartan. The Isle of Mann has a number of tartans associated with it as well.

    Cheers,
