    Thumbs up Two Casual MacDonalds

I was just about to strap some pants on the Little Man when the doorbell rang. It was, of course, the post man with a package from USA Kilts containing hose, flashes, a sporran and our two kilts. We had to try them on immediately, snapped a few pics for y'all and then Little Man said, "Lets go shopping"! So we did.

I was wondering how I might feel going out in pubic kilted for the first time, but it was dead easy with this little enabler I have here. Plus, while we were walking to the grocery store I was too worried bout all the little things that a father worries about with traffic and such to be concerned with how I was dressed at all. I actually forgot I had the kilt on for a little while. We got some looks, but only two comments. One was from a cyclist who called out, "Nice looking family" as she whizzed by us. The other was from a rough and ready urban type who complimented us with, "That's pretty cool". Validator (my wife) still doesn't know about Little Man's kilt. I predict she'll bubble over with glee when she sees him.

The hose will need some targeted shrinking for my small frame and the PV was perhaps a little light for a wet cool day, but certainly better than shorts would have been and I've seen some people wearing those today. As for measurements, I think I've got the length about right. If I slip it down to wear lower, where it's intended to be worn rather than up around my actual waist the kilt feels feels pretty dreamy on my hips. It's about an inch too long then of course, but it tells me the waist measurements are about right too. Difficult to compare to what a buckle closure will be like when I order my tank, but still informative enough to help me feel confident about communicating my size.

    Now the obligatory pleat shot.

That's great, you have a show stealer there in his little kilt. People probably didn't even notice you...

Well done X, the wife is gonna squeal !! I'm happy that you finally got kilted. My first non-scottish oriented experience (grocery shopping) was very similar. Felt like I was born to it! Congratulations.

You both look great! Sometimes an "enabler" is a good thing....or a great thing...to have around!

That is AWESOME! You guys look great.

My Mini Me is only 5 months but as soon as he's walking he's getting kilted! I wonder if Rocky does kilts for little guys.

A fine look cousin. I normally don't like to use the word cute with kilts - but dang, there's no other word to describe your son kilted proudly in our clan colors.
