What can BROWN do for you?

    Hey guys and gals...

Over the past couple years we've had a few requests for Brown straps and Brass buckles (on kilts) and other brown leather accessories... and over the past 6 months or so, we've had a BUNCH of requests for them.

Accordingly, we've just received our first shipment of Brown (VERY DARK brown) straps and Brass colored buckles (1.25"). If anyone has a Semi Trad kilt on order and would like to switch up the straps / buckles to brown / brass, please let me know. Going forward, this will be a custom option on our kilts, although we may not make it an option on our site, you can always call in and request it.

To go with our newly acquired brown straps and brass buckles, we're getting in some brown Kilt Belts and Sporrans (Day and Semi Dress). We'll post them on our site when they arrive in a few weeks. The Brown kilt belts will be about $50 and the Sporrans will be about $150 each. The Sporran Chains that come with the sporrans will be brown leather with silver chain links.

That sounds like a very good option to have; same on the belts et al.

Again, I think this is a great option to offer. I think there are plenty of tartans that would be well suited (weathered anyone?) for brown straps and brass hardware.

BTW... I'm looking into a brass / gold colored buckle as well. I know there are some out there, but I'm trying to do something a little different than everyone else... I'll keep you all posted.

There have been a few threads on pairing gold or brass colored accessories with the black or navy blue evening outfits: buttons and so on. A brass kilt belt buckle )waistplate type) would also be a good option if that's what you mean.

Rocky, I have a source for a whole shipment of Solid Brass Kilt Strap Buckles. They are left over from when I was trying to offer Brown Straps as an option on my Kilts.

I could never find a Brown Strap that would not bleed color on the Kilts when they were washed.

PM or call me for the info.

While I haven't washed these straps yet, I am relatively certain there won't be a problem since I'm getting them from Scotland at the same place we get our other (black) straps from... I'll test 1 tonight just to be sure.

If I end up needing the source, I'll drop you a PM.

Ah, I'm sorry, I thought you said you needed Kilt Strap Buckles. I have about 259436593512369283 boxes of them.
