    i know this is an old post, but after reading Panache's review of his Empire Canvas shirt, I thought I'd bump this up so folks can compare and contrast.
    Inside me is a thin woman screaming to get out. But I can usually shut the b*tch up with chocolate!

    Great looking shirt, but it is way too dressy for the UK workman. That kind of shirt should be worn only with a dressier kilt and definitely not with boots. I think you need a new kilt to go with that shirt.

    Cloves, how did you find a pic of the shirt to inspire you? or did you just become interested from a description? either way, it worked out well for you.

    I think it should go pretty good with my xmarks tartan....when I eventually get that made into a kilt. In the meantime it looks pretty good with my Starkilt too.

    I had seen similar colored shirts in high end mens department stores, and even Lands End has their version of it. When the opportunity arose for a custom shirt ie: colors I wanted in a kilt length with FK emboridery, I jumped at the chance. I don't wear it as much as I'd like as it's almost too classy for me. Well worth the money and I know I'll buy another eventually.

    I don't know about you, but whenever anyone tells me that a particular garment makes me look as though I've lost weight, I wish I had six more of that particular item...one for every day of the week!
