| | | Freedom Kilts on the runway
Last evening Victoria High School held it's annual fashion show as a fund raiser.
I was asked if we could put two guys in kilts.
WOW! young crowd, everyone interested in fashion and having fun dressing in the newest clothes from the local shops. Lot's of tuxedos and evening gowns for the prom. Lot's of street type clothes. Even a few swim suits. (no, I'm not posting pics of those. this is a family site. And I'm keeping them for myself.)
The two kilts stole the show. I knew that if the kids ever started wearing kilts it would catch on, I just never before saw the effect on an auditorium full of teenaged girls. I thought the guys would be mobbed.
Conner in a Dress Model in Earth Cotton. He has a Highlander shirt, boots with pushed down hose, and a Buzz Kidder sporran.
Galen in a Casual Model in Black Poly/Cotton. A sweater with Gray Tweed Vest.
The two guys doing a pleat swish.
Striking a pose.
I think the guys did a great job. They had very high energy and fed off the crowd. I'm sorry I didn't get a shot when they did a spin, but three girls sitting around me jumped up and knocked the camera out of my hand.

| | That is great! Inquiring minds want to know, did the camera suffer harm as the girls in the audience rushed the stage?

Excellent news! Hopefully this well sell lots of new Freedom Kilts to Victoria's young men. A wholly different sort of runway from the one my Freedom Kilt was on when I took a flight to London on Tuesday.

Steve,
If you keep doing this sort of thing, it will become popular and no one will notice when I wear a kilt.

Congratulations Steve - its great to know the next generation feels the power of the kilt! By the way, was it hard to wipe the grin off of Galen and Conner's faces?

How cool is that!!??
Feeling bad since our local domestic violence agency just had a fashion show fundraiser and I thought about suggesting kilts, but didn't. Next year.

Well done Steve. Those two good-lookers were perfect clothes-horses for your wonderful kilts - they looked absolutely marvellous.
